I am a Consultant Ophthalmologist at University Hospitals of Leicester and have over 15 years of experience in Ophthalmology providing clinical care for all emergency and general ophthalmic conditions. My private practice is based at Spire Leicester Hospital where I specialise in inflammatory diseases of the eye such as uveitis, scleritis, cataract surgery and medical retinal conditions.

I undertook my initial Ophthalmology training in India and then trained in Ophthalmology at the East Midlands Deanery. Following this I did a Fellowship in Uveitis and Medical Retina at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. During this period, I was actively involved in teaching medical students, whilst pursuing research interests which include immunosuppression.

I am a co-lead for undergraduate Ophthalmology Training at Leicester Medical School and am also an examiner for the Fellowship Exam of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.

I am extremely passionate about improving the delivery of eye care in the community. I have been very actively involved in training in-house optometrists in assessing cataract patients and streamlining various patient referral pathways to improve the quality of care and patient experience at the Leicester Royal Infirmary.

I am very keen on research and have numerous publications in peer reviewed journals. I have delivered several talks both nationally and internationally in my chosen field and have trained many Opticians and trainee eye surgeons over last two decades.
