I have been a qualified doctor for over 24 years and a qualified consultant urologist for over 11 years. I have had comprehensive training and experience in urology and I cover the majority of adult urology.
Treatments I offer include active surveillance of prostate cancer, enhanced diagnostics for bladder cancer (blue light cystoscopy), hyperthermic mitomycin for bladder cancer, laser prostate surgery (HoLEP), non-muscle invasive bladder cancer, office based trans-perineal prostate biopsy, photodynamic diagnosis (blue light cystoscopy), prostatic urothelial lift (Urolift), surgery for benign prostatic enlargement including laser prostate surgery (HoLEP) and ureteroscopy and laser stone surgery.
I completed training in London, Bristol and the Cambridge training rotation. I have particular expertise in urological diagnostics and set up one of the first urology 'one stop' clinics in the country, a successful project that was featured in the annual hospital awards and significantly reduced waiting times. In addition to general urology, I also specialise in minimally invasive treatments to improve outcomes and I have successfully introduced several new treatments and specialities into my department.
