I have experience in both general and specialist urology. I specialise in endourology, in particular the treatment of urinary stone disease. I served as a reserve medical officer in the British Army for nine years and gained much experience in a battlefield environment in 2003.
My practice encompasses all aspects of urological conditions and I have an active interest in urinary stone disease. I am the clinical lead for stone services, infection control and appraisal in urology for Whiston.
I graduated from Cardiff in 1996 and trained in urology in the Mersey region prior to being appointed consultant urological surgeon in Whiston Hospital in 2008. I have held admitting rights and clinics in Spire Cheshire Hospital since 2009. I am the Lead Clinician for Stone Services at Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS.
I am active in higher medical education and am regularly invited to join the faculty of endourology masterclasses at local and national levels. I frequently receive tertiary referrals from colleagues within my specialty. I regularly teach as a faculty member on national training courses in urology.
