Virtual consultations:
I am a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon at Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital, with over 25 years’ experience in orthopaedic surgery. I specialise in hip and knee replacement surgery, lower limb reconstruction, and sports‑related injuries, offering both surgical and non‑surgical treatment options tailored to each patient’s needs.
My core expertise is in hip replacement and knee replacement surgery, including the use of Mako robotic-assisted surgery. To date, I have performed over 2,500 hip replacements and more than 2,500 knee replacements, giving me extensive experience across both routine and complex cases.
I also offer consultations for sports medicine which also include the use of platelet rich plasma (PRP) and biological treatments for tendon injuries. I offer proactive treatment which also includes viscosupplement injections in joints and injections of Lipogems to help with pain from arthritic joints which helps delay the need for invasive surgery.
I have been a faculty member for training courses for computer navigated knees for over 15 years having taught internationally on various courses. I have extensive teaching experience, being a faculty member for the international AO foundation.
I have a number of national and international publications and have also written chapters in text books, contributed to contents of websites for national educational websites for medical professionals and I'm a faculty member for training courses for juniors.
