I have been a Consultant Thoracic Surgeon at the Glenfield Hospital since 2007 and am a core member of the Leicester Lung Cancer and Mesothelioma Multidisciplinary Team. I provide services for Lung Cancer, Mesothelioma and General Thoracic Surgical cases in both Leicestershire and Peterborough.
In addition to cancer services I operate on patients for benign conditions of the lung, the pleura and chest wall, for example Pneumothorax, Empyema and Pectus Deformities.
I trained in Cardiothoracic Surgery in Thessaloniki, London, Sheffield and Leicester.
Data from the National Lung Cancer Audit consistently suggests that Leicestershire has one of the highest surgical resection rates in the country.
My clinical research interests are focused on surgery for Mesothelioma, Lung cancer and Pulmonary Metastatic Disease. Results of this research have been published in internationally peer reviewed journals.
