I completed my higher surgical training in the Northwest and have been an ENT consultant and facial plastic surgeon since 2004, working at the Mid Cheshire Hospitals Foundation Trust.
My main clinical interests are facial skin cancers (removal of lesions and reconstruction), Otology (cholesteatoma surgery, ossiculoplasty), hearing loss, Rhinology (endoscopic sinus surgery), Voice pathology (benign vocal cord lesions, medialisation of vocal cord, vocal cord palsy) ear procedures (grommets, cholesteatoma surgery) and tonsillectomies.
I am the skin cancer MDT surgical lead at the MCHT since 2006. I have been the clinical lead for the ENT department at the MCHT since 2017.
During my training I got involved in basic science research in auditory neuroscience and was awarded an MPhil by Keele University in 2001. I visited the University California San Francisco on a TWJ fellowship for nine months and expanded my experience in otology, neurotology and facial plastics in 2003. I have published many research and clinical papers in peer reviewed journals, and I regularly attend meetings, courses, and conferences regionally, nationally, and internationally as an invited speaker.
