I was born in the South Wales valleys and graduated from the University of Wales Cardiff in 1996. I have been trained in minimal access surgery in Cardiff, Surrey and Atlanta Georgia. I am married and have two young daughters aged 3 and 5 years. Outside my family life I enjoy the ups and downs of Welsh rugby. At home I am addicted to my garden, but English literature and piano playing are also great pleasures for me. For my more energetic interests I enjoy cycling, rock climbing and target shooting. I am also a treasurer for a national charity.
