I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in Worcester specialising exclusively in knee surgery. My NHS practice is based at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, where I receive referrals from local GPs as well as complex tertiary referrals from other consultant colleagues.
My clinical practice is entirely focused on delivering high‑quality, evidence‑based knee surgery for patients in Worcester and the surrounding Worcestershire area.
I specialise in all aspects of knee surgery, including: arthroscopic (keyhole) knee surgery, ligament reconstruction, including sports‑related injuries, partial (unicompartmental) knee replacement, total knee replacement, surgical management of knee arthritis in younger patients, patellar stabilisation procedures and revision knee surgery.
My approach is centred on restoring function, improving mobility, and achieving long‑term outcomes tailored to each individual patient.
Originally from Worcestershire, I completed my higher surgical training in Manchester before undertaking an international Fellowship in Sports and Reconstructive Knee Surgery at the University of Canterbury, New Zealand.
I have previously worked as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the internationally renowned Wrightington Hospital, further developing my expertise in complex and revision knee surgery, before returning to Worcestershire with my family.
I have a strong interest in orthopaedic research and clinical audit, with publications in peer‑reviewed journals and presentations at both national and international meetings.
I am passionate about education and training and have established and led the popular “Orthopaedics Made Easy” one‑day course for General Practitioners through the Royal College of General Practitioners.
I am also an Honorary Senior Lecturer in the School of Health, Sport and Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Salford.
I am committed to providing specialist knee surgery in Worcester, combining advanced surgical techniques with clear communication, shared decision‑making, and patient‑centred care.
