Mr Andre Ismail

I am a Consultant Ophthalmic and Oculoplastic Surgeon. I am an experienced Ophthalmic Surgeon, and have performed several thousand cataract operations, including multifocal lens implants and lens replacement surgery.

I am a trained General Ophthalmologist, and over many years have managed common eye conditions such as cataract, glaucoma and ocular surface issues. As an Oculoplastic Surgeon, I also have particular expertise in eyelid and lacrimal (tear duct) surgery.

I continuously audit my surgical results to ensure the best outcome for my patients and to help update and develop my practice.

I treat chronic eye conditions including blepharitis and offer ocular surface optimisation, glaucoma monitoring and management, laser treatments, removal of eyelid lumps and bumps and YAG laser treatment.

I also perform upper and lower lid blepharoplasty.

As well as being a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, I am a member of the British Oculoplastic Surgery Society, and a Royal College of Surgeons Board Certified Periocular Cosmetic Surgeon.

At Spire Bushey Hospital I see patients from North London, Hertfordshire and further afield. I like to treat each patient as an individual, and no matter how many times the same treatment is required, I ensure that every patient is understands their condition and treatment fully. I establish fully transparent communication with my patients and am always happy to answer questions directly or via my excellent secretarial support.
