I am a foot and ankle specialist and have been working as a consultant for the last seven years. I aim to provide an honest one stop service for all of your foot and ankle problems. My practice involves a large spectrum of foot and ankle surgeries and I endeavour to provide my patients with the best results in one attempt.
My special interest lies in treating sports injuries of the foot and ankle. I routinely use keyhole surgery for treating patients and most of my work is done as a day case, thereby helping patients recover in the comfort of their own home after the surgery.
I undertake surgery for all complex foot and ankle problems. These include bunion and claw toe surgery, surgery for osteoarthritis of the big toe, midfoot, ankle and subtalar joint, achilles tendon surgery, peroneal tendon surgery, ankle ligament surgery, morton’s neuroma surgery, deformity corrections like flat foot, varus foot, keyhole surgery of the ankle subtalar joint, keyhole surgery of FHL and Os Trigonum, surgery for fractures of the ankle, heel bone and other foot bones.
In the last seven years working as a consultant I have undertaken more than 2,000 major foot and ankle operations. These include more than 100 arthroscopic fusion surgeries, more than 500 bunion and foot surgeries and more than 100 achilles tendon surgeries. I have also undertaken numerous cases of complex deformity correctional surgeries.
I am the lead for foot and ankle trauma and I chair the foot and ankle MDT meetings every month at Basildon University Hospital. My NHS practice involves referral of difficult foot and ankle cases from all of my consultant orthopaedic colleagues.
I am the trainer and education supervisor for trainee SPR’s coming to Basildon Hospital from the London Deanery. My keen interest in teaching and training has made me popular among trainees and my university colleagues.
