I am a Consultant Neurosurgeon who sub-specialises in Complex Spine, with a substantive NHS Consultant post at Hull University Teaching Hospitals since 2020. At Spire Hull and East Riding Hospital, I provide expert assessment and treatment for a wide range of spinal conditions, welcoming patients from Hull, East Yorkshire, Scunthorpe, Grimsby and surrounding areas.
My clinical practice focuses on diagnosing and treating conditions such as back pain, neck pain and degenerative spine disorders. I offer advanced procedures including spinal surgery, discography for back pain investigation, cervical disc replacement, vertebroplasty and spinal injections. I also specialise in more complex conditions, including Chiari malformations, spinal tumours (including intradural tumours), short segment spinal deformities and neuromodulation techniques such as spinal cord stimulation.
I trained across the UK in many Neurosurgical units, and completed my Neurosurgical training in the West Midlands, where I achieved my Certificate of Completion of Training. I undertook a highly competitive complex spinal fellowship at the Walton Centre (Liverpool) learning both the neurosurgical and orthopaedic principles of complex spinal surgery.
In addition I was awarded the prestigious BASS Travelling Fellowship and completed an observership in Toronto with Prof. Fehlings.
