Mr Alasdair Santini

I trained in Sheffield before completing my orthopaedic training in the Mersey region, and have been a consultant at the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals since 2005. Alongside my NHS role, I am one of the founding partners of The Bone and Joint Centre at Spire Liverpool Hospital, where I provide private orthopaedic care in a well-established, specialist setting.

My practice includes a full range of hip and knee treatments, including primary and revision knee replacements, partial knee replacements and arthroscopy, as well as hip replacement surgery. I’m particularly interested in choosing the most appropriate treatment for each individual, tailoring care to suit their needs and lifestyle.

In addition to my clinical work, I have held a number of leadership roles, including Clinical Lead in Lower Limb Surgery and Orthopaedic Infection Lead, and I’m actively involved in research and education within the field. I also sit on the executive council of the British Association for Surgery of the Knee.

Outside of work, I enjoy skiing and coach youth rugby, which reflects my interest in keeping people active and mobile at all stages of life.

My aim is always to provide clear advice, high-quality care and support throughout every stage of treatment.
