I am a Consultant in Laparoscopic Upper Gastrointestinal and General Surgery, with specialist interests in the treatment of gallstones and gallbladder disease, inguinal, femoral and abdominal wall hernias, and reflux. I provide advanced surgical and endoscopic treatments for gallstones, including laparoscopic (keyhole) gallbladder surgery and the treatment of bile duct stones (ERCP). I also specialise in laparoscopic hernia repair and anti-reflux surgery.
I perform a high volume of minimally invasive procedures, with a focus on rapid recovery, minimal downtime and excellent patient outcomes.
I studied medicine at Oxford University and King’s College London and undertook higher surgical training in the South-East of England. I was appointed at East Surrey Hospital in 2010 and have over 15 years' experience as a Consultant Upper GI Surgeon. I have held roles including Clinical Lead for Trauma and Lead for Endoscopy, and I am currently Clinical Lead for General Surgery at East Surrey Hospital. My private practice mirrors my NHS specialty work.
