I am an established Shoulder and Elbow Consultant Surgeon, specialising only in shoulder and elbow conditions. I am an expert in the management of all acute and chronic shoulder and elbow conditions, including complex revision and reconstructive surgery.
My practice encompasses all aspects of open and arthroscopic, keyhole, surgery. I work closely with therapists to ensure the best outcomes for my patients. I strongly believe in open and transparent clinical practice and spend time with my patients to ensure information is delivered in an understandable and useful manner, to allow patients to decide on their care.
I routinely perform procedures for frozen shoulder, cuff tears, impingement, instability (dislocations) and sports injuries. I also provide shoulder replacements for arthritis. I offer treatment for elbow conditions including arthritis (including elbow replacements), tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, stiffness, instability as well as other pathologies.
I am dedicated to providing the most up to date evidence based medical practice.

How is a rotator cuff injury treated?
Mr Addie Majed, Consultant Orthopaedic Shoulder & Elbow Surgeon, says if you are suffering from a rotator cuff injury, you may be offered an operation once non-surgical options fail.
Rotator cuff surgery involves reattaching the tendon to the bone, and is often a day surgery procedure.
