I was appointed as a Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon in Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust in 2017 and I am an honorary consultant at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust, working in the supra-regional cleft lip and palate and laser services.
I specialise in all aspects of cosmetic, skin and laser surgery with a particular interest in the following;
Breast: breast enlargement/reduction/uplift, tuberous breast correction, nipple reduction/correction
Body: abdominoplasty, arm/thigh/body/ buttock lift, gynaecomastia, liposuction, scar revision, hand rejuvenation, weight loss surgery (arm lift, thigh lift, body lift and buttock lift)
Genital: Labiaplasty (labia majora/minora/clitoral hood)
Face: face/neck lifts, upper/lower eyelid surgery, nose reshaping, lip augmentation, lip lift, chin reshaping all, prominent ear correction, brow lift
Skin: skin lesion diagnosis and treatment, lump removal, scar management, split earlobe repair
Laser surgery: skin resurfacing, fine line and wrinkles, acne scarring, age spots/tattoo removal, birthmark removal, scar treatments, active acne/rosacea treatment, rhinophyma
Non-surgical: really botox/filler injection, hyperhidrosis management
My undergraduate training was undertaken at Guy's and St Thomas’ Hospital in London, having intercalated with a BSc first class in physiology. I qualified in 1999 and trained as a plastic surgeon, undertaking postgraduate training in London, Oxford and Salisbury. I completed an MSc in surgical science at Imperial College London and a medical law degree from De Montfort Law school in 2007.
I was awarded the FRCS (Plast) in 2014 and became a Fellow of the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (FEBOPRAS) in 2015, having gained extensive experience while a fellow at Evelina Children’s Hospital, St Thomas' Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital. I also spent time on fellowship at Addenbrookes Hospital Cambridge, with overseas fellowships in Olso, Texas and Toronto. Additionally, my other interest in the NHS is LASER skin surgery having completed the prestigious ‘Therapeutic use of LASER’ training interface fellowship in Swansea, Wales. I am competent in the use of all LASER skin treatments.
I am experienced in all types of skin lesion surgery having completed training through the Oxford Deanery plastic surgery programme.
I have wide experience in all aspects of aesthetic/cosmetic surgery having completed two fellowships, the first while on site at the Royal Marsden and Harley Street, London completing the training interface group fellowship in cosmetic surgery. This was followed by the renowned British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS)/Scar free foundation fellowship in Southern England.
