Mr Abid Khan

I am a highly experienced Audiologist, having completed my BSc in Audiology at the University of Leeds and joining Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust in 2008. Since then, I have progressed to a senior position, working closely with ENT consultants to deliver comprehensive diagnostic audiology services for both adults and children.

Throughout my career, I have built strong professional relationships with leading ear, nose and throat specialists across the region, with many patients referred directly by consultants, GPs and insurers. I provide a full range of audiology and hearing care services, including hearing assessments, speech testing, glue ear testing, video otoscopy and tailored hearing aid provision. I also offer hearing protection solutions, custom swim plugs (with home visits available if required) and expert support for patients experiencing hearing loss or auditory concerns.

I have a specialist interest in tinnitus management and counselling. In 2010, I was awarded a bursary to attend advanced tinnitus training in Cambridge, and I further enhanced my expertise by completing an MSc module in Tinnitus Management at Aston University in 2011. I take an independent approach to care, allowing me to tailor treatment plans and hearing solutions to each patient’s specific needs.

In addition, I have experience in industrial hearing screening, noise protection for workplaces, and medico-legal assessments for noise-induced hearing loss, including the preparation of comprehensive Special Damages reports where hearing aids or tinnitus masking devices are required.
