Mr Aaron Trinidade
Consultant ENT Surgeon
My training has given me clinical expertise in the rehabilitation of chronic ear disease such as tympanoplasty (surgery to repair the ear drum) for perforated ear drums and more complex diseases. I am also trained in the surgical rehabilitation of hearing in people who are hard of hearing and have a specialist interest in the management of dizziness and balance disorders. I also offer expertise in general adult and paediatric ENT conditions.
After completing my medical training in 2001, I undertook ENT training in London and Cambridge. I went on to sub-specialise in otology (complex ear surgery) by completing two world-class otology fellowships at Cambridge and Little Rock, USA. I am a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, a member of the ENT-UK and of the Prosper Meniere Society, a society dedicated to disorders of the inner ear.
I am on the board of directors for the Prosper Meniere Society. My role includes promoting the aim of this esteemed international society within the UK.
I am currently the head of clinical governance and audit in my NHS practice at Southend Hospital.
Below is feedback from some of my Wellesley patients:
November 2021: 'He is always very happy to listen and address any questions I have. He also has the ability to explain in layman's terms what the procedure was all about'.
Some of the principal treatments carried out by Mr Aaron Trinidade at Spire include:
Ear Nose and Throat (ENT)
Paediatrics - ENT
FRCS (ORL-HNS) / The Royal College of Surgeons / 2012
Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons
Outside of medicine, I am a keen guitar and banjo player and currently play in a rock band. I try to keep active through hiking, squash and racquetball. I travel extensively, which helps fuel my passion for travel photography, travel writing and blogging, all of which I keep on a dedicated website. A diploma in photography helps with this. I am also a contributing travel writer for Glass Magazine.
I have a passion for food and cook a lot of West Indian food at home. I am currently expanding into the art of smoking meat, a skill I learnt after spending a year in the American Deep South (where, incidentally, I also learnt the banjo).
