I have been a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at East Lancashire Teaching Hospital since 2002 and am a fellowship‑trained foot and ankle surgeon. My practice focuses on modern, evidence‑based techniques, including minimally invasive surgery and ankle replacement.
I am a fully trained trauma and orthopaedic surgeon with a specialist interest in adult foot and ankle conditions. My clinical work includes the management of ankle ligament injuries, sports‑related injuries, turf toe, bunions, hallux rigidus (stiff toe) and heel pain, among other conditions.
I perform a high volume of clinical work, undertaking approximately 550–600 surgical procedures each year and seeing around 3,000 patients annually in clinic. My practice also includes non‑surgical treatments, such as extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT), platelet‑rich plasma (PRP) injections for heel pain, and minimally invasive (MIS) surgery for bunions and hammer toe deformities.
In addition, I am qualified in a range of non‑surgical aesthetic procedures, including Botox and fillers.
Alongside my clinical work, I am actively involved in education and training. I am a GMC‑registered trainer for junior doctors and surgeons and have held roles including Co‑Clinical Director within the orthopaedic department and Education Lead, contributing to the training and development of future clinicians.
