I am a general gynaecologist with special interest in colposcopy (abnormal smears etc) and urogynaecology (prolapse and incontinence). I perform all general gynaecological procedures including keyhole surgery and also hysterectomy by vaginal, abdominal and keyhole route.
I qualified as a doctor in 1997 and then trained in gynaecology (and obstetrics). I chose the speciality as I felt that, being a woman, I would be able to understand problems related to women's health from a different perspective and would be able to help women with their health and wellbeing. Over the last 20 years, I have acquired and consolidated my knowledge and skills in gynaecology.
I endeavour to provide the best possible care to my patients and help them meet their expectations. I am also a good surgeon with good outcomes. I record my outcomes onto the national BSUG (British Society of Urogynaecology) database and audit my performance with a view of continually improving my skills.
I currently work as a consultant gynaecologist at Southmead Hospital in Bristol.

I enjoy spending my spare time with my husband. We share common interests and like travelling a lot. Together we like exploring the British countryside and also lakes and mountains worldwide.
