I am a Consultant Colorectal and General Surgeon specialising in minimally invasive (keyhole and robotic) surgery for a wide range of bowel and abdominal conditions.
I treat patients with concerns such as bowel disorders, hernias, gallstones, inflammatory bowel disease and colorectal cancer, as well as proctology conditions including haemorrhoids, fissures and fistulas. I offer both non-surgical treatments and advanced surgical options where needed, including procedures such as laparoscopic and robotic colorectal surgery, hernia repair and minimally invasive treatments for pilonidal disease and anal conditions.
My work also includes diagnostic procedures such as endoscopy, helping to investigate symptoms and guide the best course of treatment. I have a particular interest in abdominal wall reconstruction and managing complex colorectal conditions.
I trained at leading centres in Liverpool and Manchester and further developed my expertise through specialist fellowship training, including international experience in the USA.
Alongside my clinical work, I hold a number of leadership roles within colorectal services and the wider surgical community, helping to maintain high standards of care and improve patient outcomes across the region.
I understand that bowel-related conditions can be sensitive and sometimes difficult to talk about, so I aim to create a supportive environment where patients feel comfortable discussing their symptoms and treatment options.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and maintaining an active lifestyle.
