Miss Choudhury qualified from Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital Medical Schools, London, having also completed a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry. Her ENT training started in 2002, and she has completed Higher Surgical training in ENT and Head and Neck surgery in a number of prestigious centres of excellence including Barts and The Royal London Hospitals, Charing Cross, Chelsea and Westminster, Royal Brompton, and the Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital.
Additionally, she has an active research interest, and has previously completed two years advanced research in Molecular Oncology at the Institute of Cancer, London, which culminated in the award of an MD (Res), from the University of London. She was subsequently awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in both Clinical Surgery and Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery. Miss Choudhury currently delivers a full general elective and emergency service in both adult and children's ENT, including coblation tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, grommets, hearing loss, tinnitus and management of snoring. In addition to Miss Choudhury's general ENT practice, she has a sub-specialist interest in Rhinology and Thyroid and Parathyroid Surgery.
She manages all medical and surgical aspects of nose and sinus problems including rhinitis, allergy, nasal deformity, septoplasty, nasal polyps, sinus surgery, nasal valve surgery, septal perforation, facial pain and nosebleeds. Her Thyroid / Parathyroid interest allows her to work closely with endocrine colleagues and provide full multidisciplinary care for her patients. Miss Choudhury is the leading surgeon at her NHS trust, and she performs an average of 80 Thyroid and Parathyroid operations per year.
