"As a gynaecologist I strive to connect, thoughtfully advise, skilfully intervene when required, hold complexity with clarity, and serve with presence, integrity, skill, and humility."
Specialises in
I'm an experienced Consultant Gynaecologist and Endometriosis Specialist with a particular focus on advanced minimally invasive surgery, especially for the excision of endometriosis. My clinical interests include endometriosis, adenomyosis, pelvic pain, heavy and unscheduled menstrual bleeding, hormone testing, cervical smears, fibroids and uterine pathology, menopause, menorrhagia, ovarian cysts, advanced laparoscopic (keyhole) and robotic surgery, hysteroscopic surgery and pelvic ultrasound scanning.
Treatments I offer include endometrial ablation, female sterilisation, hysteroscopy surgery, including polypectomy, in-clinic dynamic pelvic ultrasound scanning, sexual health testing, insertion or removal of intrauterine devices, laparoscopic excision of endometriosis, laparoscopic investigations and treatment including hysterectomy, myomectomy, oophorectomy or salpingectomy and ovarian cystectomy (ovarian cyst removal).
I see private patients at Spire Bristol Hospital, alongside my NHS work at North Bristol NHS Trust, where I co-lead our Tertiary Endometriosis Centre (British Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy BSGE accredited) - a nationally recognised high volume hub for the care of patients with complex endometriosis.
I completed a prestigious and highly competitive fellowship in Endometriosis Care and Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery (Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists accredited) in a nationally recognised BSGE Endometriosis Centre. This training equipped me with the skills to manage a wide range of complex benign (non-cancerous) gynaecological conditions using the latest minimally invasive techniques, including laparoscopic, robotic, and hysteroscopic surgery.
In additional to my clinical work I am a passionate educator and advocate for high-quality laparoscopic training. I sit on the BSGE national laparoscopic training committee and I am actively involved in the teaching of future gynaecological surgeons regularly contributing to regional, national and international training courses. I am also the Severn Advanced Training Module Preceptor for the Management of Complex Non-Malignant Disease, overseeing the development of specialist trainees in this field. I present at numerous professional conferences and contribute to research, with publications in peer-reviewed international journals.
What matters most to me is providing care that is truly patient-centred, collaborative, and compassionate. My approach is grounded in evidence-based practice, and I serve with presence, integrity, and humility.
Outside of gynaecology, I’m a daughter, sister, aunt, friend, partner, traveller, road cyclist, swimmer, fermenter, hiker, skier, and golfer. These parts of my life keep me energised, grounded, and open hearted - qualities I aim to bring into my practice every day.
