Miss Fatima Husain
Gynaecologist and Obstetrician
MBBS, MRCOG, MRCGP, DIPM
I qualified from King's College Hospital Medical School, London in 1986. I completed my postgraduate training in obstetrics and gynaecology in London, having worked at Queen Charlotte's and St George's hospitals amongst others. Although I provide a general obstetric and gynaecology service, my special interests are infertility and associated problems and I undertook specialised intensive training in this field at the Guy's and St Thomas' Assisted Conception Unit.
I have been a doctor for 22 years and am an NHS Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Heatherwood and Wexham Park Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. I also practice in local private hospitals - in areas such as Ascot, Windsor, Slough, Gerrards Cross and Maidenhead - where I conduct clinics and operating theatre sessions. I have special expertise in helping couples experiencing infertility or miscarriage problems.
I am keen to provide continuity of care through into pregnancy and childbirth, either in the NHS or private sector. Women who are seeking an experienced female gynaecologist, for a private consultation can ask their GP for referral to Spire Thames Valley Hospital.
Some of the principal treatments carried out by Miss Fatima Husain at Spire include:
Member of British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy
Member of British Fertility Society
British Maternal/Fetal Medicine Society
Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists
