I specialise in Rheumatoid disorders including: connective tissue disorders, Inflammatory joint disorders, Osteoarthritis, Psoriatic Arthritis, Polymyalgia Rheumatica, Vasculitis, Inflammatory myositis and Soft tissue rheumatology.
I completed my basic medical training and specialisation in general medicine in South Africa. I then spent six years at the Royal National Hospital for rheumatic diseases in Bath doing a clinical fellowship in rheumatology whilst also completing a PhD at the University of Bath.
I spent three years as consultants/senior lecturer at Groote Schuur Hospital and University of Cape Town.
I was appointed as consultant physician/rheumatologist at Hull Royal Infirmary as of May 2001 and as Honorary Senior lecturer at the Hull York Medical School in 2007. I thoroughly enjoy clinical practice in General Medicine and Rheumatology as well as teaching and clinical research.
