I am a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon at Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust, where I am primarily based at Southend Hospital. I have worked within the NHS for over fifteen years, gaining broad experience in orthopaedic care and supporting patients through diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.
I specialise in general orthopaedic surgery, with a particular focus on foot and ankle conditions. I offer a comprehensive range of treatments tailored to each patient’s needs. This includes ankle replacement surgery, bunion correction, and surgery to address foot and ankle deformities. I also perform ligament repairs and keyhole (arthroscopic) procedures, which use small incisions to assess and treat joint problems. In addition, I help patients with painful conditions such as Achilles tendon disorders and plantar fasciitis, working to reduce discomfort and improve mobility.
Alongside my general practice, I am the Diabetic Foot Surgery Lead at Southend Hospital. In this role, I care for patients with a wide range of diabetic foot problems, from foot ulcers to more complex deformities, including Charcot foot. I understand how challenging these conditions can be, and I focus on providing careful, personalised treatment to support healing and protect long-term foot health.
