I have been working as a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Endoscopist for the last 11 years. My private practice is well established at Spire Elland having worked as a Consultant for more than 10 years. I have annual appraisal and revalidation of practice every year with excellent outcome and feedback including patient feedback.
I have extensive endoscopic expertise in diagnostic and Therapeutic Gastroscopy/Sigmoidoscopy/Colonoscopy with over 10,000 procedures done over the lifetime. I also researched Barrett's oesophagus for a Masters degree for 2 years thus developing interest and expertise in dyspepsia (reflux & Indigestion).
I have a specialist interest in Inflammatory bowel disease.
I have excellent experience in diagnosing and treating all aspects of Gastroenterology and liver related disease. This includes diseases of the lower bowel presenting with a change in bowel habit, abdominal or bleeding; IBS type diseases presenting with bloating, wind, burping and/or a change in bowels; diseases of indigestion like reflux, acid, difficulty in swallowing; abnormality of liver including abnormal liver blood tests.
