Dr O'Hickey trained in Respiratory Medicine and Clinical Allergy at Guy's Hospital London and completed his MD thesis in Asthma and Exercise. In 1993 he was appointed as consultant in respiratory medicine to Solihull Hospital and then in 1997, was offered a post in Respiratory Medicine and Allergy in Worcester Royal Hospital.
Dr O'Hickey's interests are Clinical Allergy, particularly desensitization and immunotherapy, pulmonary rehabilitation for COPD/Emphysema and interstitial lung disease. He is especially interested in clinical allergy testing for allergic asthma and rhino-sinusitis.
