I am a Consultant Cardiologist and I was appointed at Wythenshawe Hospital in 2005. I am a general cardiologist practising in all aspects of cardiology, with a specialist interest in heart failure.
I have previously held the highest national position in heart failure: Chair of the British Society for Heart Failure (BSH) between 2019-2021 and am still involved with the Society. I have an interest in cardiology and cancer (cardio-oncology) and hold an appointment at the Christie Hospital, Manchester
I am an honorary professor at the University of Manchester and have published my research extensively in major international journals. I am frequently invited to give lectures both nationally and internationally.
