I was appointed as a Consultant Nephrologist at Hillingdon Hospital in 2014 in renal, acute and general internal medicine. I am currently working at Watford General Hospital since 2023 with tertiary on-call commitments at Hammersmith Hospital and a visiting role at Harefield Hospital. I have experience in general nephrology, dialysis, acute kidney injury (AKI), renal transplantation and the renal care of cardiothoracic transplant and LVAD patients.
My particular interest is in looking after heart and lung transplant patients with kidney problems and i work very closely with the transplant team at Harefield Hospital.
I am a service developer who led implementation of the National AKI guidelines at Hillingdon Hospital, authored multiple Trust guidelines and set up a local iron infusion service at Watford. Committed educator, serving as Renal Medicine Speciality Lead at Brunel Medical School and contributing to ST3 recruitment and ARCP panels.
I am the lead for renal Medicine at Brunel Medical School. This involves writing up the renal curriculum and teaching medical students. I am also the house tutor which involves meeting my cohort of students regularly and helping them in their education and personal development.
