I am an experienced Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist, with a specialist interest in the management of patients with abnormal heart rhythms. I regularly treat patients with cardiac problems and symptoms such as palpitations, dizziness, blackouts, chest pain, shortness of breath, family history of cardiac disease, high blood pressure and heart murmurs.
I provide a full range of diagnostic investigations to assess heart rhythm abnormalities including ectopic (extra) beats, bradycardias, supraventricular tachycardias, atrial fibrillation and ventricular arrhythmias. I also provide interventional treatments including catheter ablation, insertion of pacemakers, defibrillators and cardiac resynchronisation therapy. I have a particular interest in catheter ablation for atrial fibrillation.
I have performed over 1,000 catheter ablation procedures and device implantations as a Consultant Cardiologist.
I pride myself in effective communication with patients taking time to explain tests and treatments and ensuring that patients are fully informed and involved in all aspects of their care. I use my expertise to provide a rapid diagnosis of your cardiac symptoms and work with you to devise a personalised treatment plan that you are comfortable with and at the highest standard of care.
