Dr Sarah Packham

I enjoy all aspects of General Practice. I aim to provide patient-centred care, placing emphasis on ensuring that patients feel listened to and involved in their management. I ensure that I keep up-to-date in all areas of General Practice which helps me to provide evidence based advice and guidance. I have completed training in Lifestyle Medicine allowing me to practice as a GP with an extended role in this area.

I am a member of the British Menopause Society and offer menopause advice, hormone testing where appropriate, and HRT prescription.

I offer mental health assessment, medication prescription, and onward referral to the Spire Health Mental Service. I am qualified to treat children and I am able to offer repeat prescription for ADHD medication once this has been established by a Paediatrician.

I completed my medical training at St Bartholomew's and The Royal London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2003. I initially trained in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine and spent time working in these specialties in both the UK and Australia. After relocating to Bristol I joined the Bristol GP Training Scheme and gained experience in Emergency Medicine, Paediatrics, Sexual Health Medicine and Palliative Care Medicine.

I qualified as a GP in 2017 and I have provided a private GP service to Spire Hospital Bristol for the past four years. I also work for Severnside Integrated Urgent Care Service, a 24/7 NHS urgent care facility providing out of hours care to people across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. I am a registered trainer of GP trainees within this service.

I have lived in Bristol with my husband and two teenage sons for the past 17 years. I enjoy spending my spare time walking our three dogs and project managing the never-ending renovation of our current home!
