Dr Santhanam Sundar

Consultant Clinical Oncologist

MBBS, MRCP, Msc, FRCR

Specialises in

I completed my five year oncology training programme in Nottingham and Leicester. I obtained my Masters of Science degree in Oncology from University of Nottingham in 2001. I became a fellow of The Royal College of Radiologists in 2001 and obtained my European Certification in Medical Oncology in 2002.

Prior to that, I did my general medical training in the Greater Manchester area and obtained my membership of The Royal College of Physicians in 1997. I passed my UK General Medical Council exams in 1996 and passed my United States Medical Licensure exams in 1995.

I strongly believe in compassionate care with honest information and an optimistic attitude. Highly technical radiotherapy and the latest chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments that provide hope, offer curative potential and prolong good quality of life would be the backbone of my practice.

I enjoy watching factual programmes, news and satire eg "Have I Got News For You". I enjoy walking within Nottingham's parks and if time permits short walks in Derbyshire.
