I have expertise in all forms of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, colonoscopy and ERCP. I have special interest and experience in managing dyspepsia and reflux disease, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), colitis, gastrointestinal motor disorders, gastrointestinal cancers and pancreatobiliary and liver diseases. I also have particular interest in managing food hypersensitivity induced IBS, fatty liver disease and non-endocrine obesity.
I am currently working as a Consultant Physician and Gastroenterologist at Epsom and St Helier University Hospital. I am the Endoscopy Lead as well as Upper GI Cancer Lead for the Trust. I also run a GI physiology laboratory and Hepatitis service at St Helier Hospital.
I completed my postgraduate training in General Medicine and Gastroenterology in the South West Thames Scheme and trained at various hospitals including King's Liver Unit, Mayday and St Helier University Hospitals. I was awarded a PhD by the University of London for my research work at St George's Hospital Medical School, London. I researched the role of food hypersensitivity in Irritable Bowel Syndrome and its effect on gastrointestinal motility.
I have published several articles in leading international journals.
