I am a Consultant Haematologist based in Worcester, working at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust since July 2002. I currently serve as Consultant Lead for Haematology and Cancer Services, with responsibility for haematology care across Worcestershire.

I manage the full spectrum of general haematology, including haemato‑oncology, thrombosis and haemostasis, and red cell disorders. I have extensive experience treating acute and chronic leukaemias, with a particular interest in Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia (CLL), as well as the investigation and management of thrombotic and thrombophilic disorders.

I have a strong interest in the diagnosis and management of anaemias, myeloproliferative disorders, and myelodysplastic syndromes, including access to novel and emerging treatment options.

Since 2009, I have been Clinical Director for Haematology and Oncology at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, covering Worcestershire Royal Hospital, Alexandra Hospital, and Kidderminster Treatment Centre. As the senior haematologist for Worcestershire, I lead a seven‑consultant haematology team and oversee countywide clinical services.

I am the county lead for anticoagulation, having established secondary care anticoagulation services, including warfarin management and DVT clinics. I am Deputy Chair of the Trust Thrombosis Committee and actively involved in thromboprophylaxis programmes across acute and community hospitals in Worcestershire.

I have been a Senior Lecturer in Haematology at the University of Birmingham since 2005 and take part in active research in myeloma, lymphoma, leukaemia, and myeloproliferative disorders. I have also contributed to the restructuring of cancer services in Worcestershire through the Worcestershire Oncology Project.

My clinical interests include: multiple myeloma, lymphoma – high grade and low grade, leukaemia – acute and chronic, and myelodysplastic syndromes.

I am actively involved in medical education, teaching undergraduate and postgraduate trainees. I am a PACES examiner for MRCP (UK) and an MRCPath (Haematology) examiner, the final specialist examination in haematology.

I maintain close links with Cure Leukaemia (West Midlands) and local charities, supporting fundraising and research into haematological cancers in Worcester.

If you are looking for an experienced consultant haematologist in Worcester, I provide expert, compassionate, and evidence‑based care tailored to individual needs.
