​I am a Senior Consultant Gastroenterologist with over 20 years of experience delivering specialist digestive healthcare across Greater Manchester and the North West. My practice integrates advanced diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy with comprehensive management across the full spectrum of gastrointestinal, liver, and pancreatic disorders.

​I specialize in advanced therapeutic endoscopy and led the establishment of the Complex Polypectomy Service at Northern Care Alliance NHS Trust. I have extensive expertise in minimally invasive techniques, including Endoscopic Mucosal Resection (EMR), Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection (ESD), and Endoscopic Full-Thickness Resection (EFTR). These procedures allow pre-cancerous and early cancerous lesions to be removed endoscopically, preventing major surgery and enabling faster recovery for appropriate patients.

​My clinical repertoire encompasses both routine and complex diagnostic procedures—including gastroscopy and colonoscopy—alongside the management of gastro-oesophageal reflux, hiatus hernia, peptic ulcers, Inflammatory Bowel Disease (Crohn’s and ulcerative colitis), IBS, gastrointestinal polyps, and GI cancers. I regularly evaluate patients presenting with liver disease, cirrhosis, jaundice, pancreatic conditions, unexplained weight loss, and altered bowel habits.

​As a core member of both the Regional Complex Polyps MDT and the Colorectal Cancer MDT, I collaborate with colorectal surgeons, oncologists, and radiologists to deliver evidence-based, highly individualized treatment strategies. Quality, safety, and governance underpin my practice; I am an accredited Bowel Cancer Screening Endoscopist and have served as a National Clinical Assessor for the Joint Advisory Group (JAG) on GI Endoscopy, helping drive national standards.

​Passionately committed to medical education, I serve as Education and Development Lead for the North West Endoscopy Training Academy, building on over a decade of experience in NHS Clinical Lead roles for Endoscopy.

​While technical precision is vital, I believe excellent medicine begins with active listening. Many GI symptoms cause significant anxiety; I provide structured, reassuring assessments to establish clear diagnoses. My approach prioritises transparent communication and shared decision-making, ensuring procedures, results, and treatment paths are clearly explained. I remain dedicated to combining top-tier clinical expertise with compassionate, patient-centred care.
