I am a Consultant Cardiologist with a specialist interest in treatment of heart rhythm abnormalities, including atrial fibrillation. I have a particular interest in catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation and am a high volume operator for atrial fibrillation ablation procedures.
I am one of a select number of European heart rhythm specialists to have undertaken advanced specialisation at two of the highest profile centres in the world (the Harvard University-affiliated Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston and Hôpital Haut-Lévêque, Bordeaux, the pioneering unit where the first curative ablation for atrial fibrillation worldwide was performed). My NHS practice is based at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital, which is one of the highest volume catheter ablation centres in the UK.
