I am a Senior, Leading Cardiologist, specialising in the field of arrhythmias and heart abnormalities. My NHS practices are at St George’s Hospital, London and Ashford and St Peter’s Hospital, Surrey. I was appointed as a Consultant Cardiologist over 16 years ago and during this time I was appointed as Director of R&D and Clinical Co-Director for the South-East Research Network. Most recently, I was appointed to two leadership positions in the KSS NIHR research network, as 1) Clinical Lead for Cardiovascular Research and 2) Clinical Lead for Industry Research.

I am a well-renowned academic cardiologist who regularly travels worldwide to share my knowledge and experience in cutting-edge techniques and technologies. Within the first quarter of 2025 alone, I had 9 manuscripts accepted or under review for publication. Indeed, on March 18 2025, I became the first operator in the U.K. to treat a patient using the state-of-the-art Opal HDxTM integrated imaging-mapping-ablation system with FarawaveTM Nav and FaraviewTM technologies. In 2012, I was one of the first operators in the world to implant and publish research on the state-of-the-art quadripolar LV lead in a patient with scar-related advanced heart failure.

Despite my busy clinical practice, I have a strong commitment to leadership and conducting research. I regularly publish various research projects in highly respectable medical journals, including the highly distinguished journal, Nature Genetics, following the discovery of a novel Sodium-channel in the heart with scientists from Imperial College. I was awarded an advanced fellowship at the prestigious “Ivy League” institution of Columbia University in Manhattan. Consequently, I have received academic awards including prestigious international awards from America (NASPE/HRS) and Europe (ESC). One of my current research projects sees leading a team of experts from St George’s hospital, London in conducting a world-first large, prospective, randomised trial on an exciting new ablation technique to treat patients with atrial fibrillation & heart failure.

I have a passion for teaching and education, and am a renowned international speaker, trainer and educator. I regularly chair and present at international meetings in cardiac electrophysiology and am a lecturer and examiner at the University of London.

I specialise in the field of arrhythmias and heart conditions. I manage the following conditions: palpitations, chest pain, fast heart rates, slow heart rates, SVTs, VT, ablation, pacemakers, defibrillators, cardiac resynchronisation, atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, ectopic heart beats, syncope, dizziness, breathlessness, heart failure, ischeamic heart disease, heart attack, angina, angiogram, heart valve abnormality, loss of consciousness, high blood pressure, hypertension, low blood pressure, sudden death syndrome, high cholesterol, family history of heart problems, implantable heart monitors, cardiac monitoring.

I am a Leading Consultant Cardiologist and Cardiac Electrophysiologist in London and South-East England. I trained in the prestigious North-West London training scheme and have over 25 years of experience in caring for and treating patients with various cardiovascular conditions. My patients include VIPs from the Middle East, Europe and Asia. I have performed vast numbers of cases with high levels of success, and I take great care in my work to ensure very low rates of complications. I achieve excellent patient feedback and consistently receive the highest online patient satisfaction scores.

I had the privilege of performing the very first cardiac ablation anywhere in the UK using state-of-the-art integrated mapping-imaging-PFA ablation technology (OPAL HDx™ with FARAWAVE™ NAV & FARAVIEW™) at Spire St Anthony’s Hospital in March 2025.

I hold a number of prestigious positions, including with the National Institute for Health and Care Research, U.K and as a visiting senior lecturer in Khartoum, Sudan (currently on hold due to the civil war). I frequently receive invitations to present my research across Europe (Paris, Berlin, Brussels, Amsterdam, Essen, Milan), the Middle East (Medinah, Riyadh, Doha), the Far East (Japan) and Africa (Khartoum, prior to the current civil war).

I lead a team of researchers at St George’s University of London and publish numerous scientific articles every year, including in the foremost medical journals: Nature Genetics and The Lancet. I have received prestigious international awards, such as from the European Society of Cardiology and NASPE (Heart Rhythm Society, USA). I am multilingual and passionate about teaching and training. I have hosted overseas cardiology trainees who have successfully completed their fellowships, including the prestigious EHRA/ESC fellowship, under my guidance.
