Dr Richard Bond

Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist

BMedSci (Hons), MBBS (Hons), MRCP (UK), PhD

I qualified with a distinction from St. Bartholomew’s and the Royal London school of medicine in 2004. I have specialised in Cardiology since 2008 and arrhythmia management since 2011. I received a PhD from the University of Bristol in 2015 where I investigated the mechanisms involved in triggering atrial fibrillation. I became a consultant in 2017.

I specialise in the investigation and treatment of abnormal heart rhythms. I provide a full range of treatments for patients with heart rhythm problems, including catheter ablation, in particular atrial fibrillation and SVT. I also implant pacemakers, defibrillators and biventricular pacemakers (cardiac resynchronisation therapy).

As well as specialising in arrhythmia management I am trained in all aspects of general cardiology.
