MB ChB (Hons), FRCA, FFPMRCA, MMEd
I am a Consultant in Pain Medicine with experience supporting patients with a wide range of acute and long-term pain conditions.
I see patients with concerns such as back and neck pain, joint pain, fibromyalgia, nerve-related pain and pain following surgery, as well as pain linked to cancer. I provide both non-surgical treatments and interventional procedures where appropriate, including injections, nerve blocks and radiofrequency treatments, helping to reduce pain and improve everyday function.
I work closely within a multidisciplinary team, alongside physiotherapists and psychologists, to provide a well-rounded and personalised approach to pain management. This ensures patients receive the support they need to manage both the physical and emotional aspects of chronic pain.
I also have a particular interest in managing complex conditions such as chronic chest pain and fibromyalgia, and contribute to specialist services supporting patients with these conditions.
Alongside my clinical work, I am actively involved in teaching and training, supporting the development of future specialists in pain medicine and delivering national education on the management of complex pain.
I understand how challenging living with persistent pain can be, so I take time to listen carefully and provide clear, practical advice to help patients regain control and improve their quality of life.
Outside of work, I enjoy maintaining a balanced lifestyle and spending time with family.
