I have been a Consultant Cardiologist since 2011. My special interests within my private practice at Spire Norwich Hospital include all aspects of general cardiology, pacing and devices (including biventricular pacemakers and implantable cardioverter defibrillators), imaging (including echocardiography and cardiac CT) and cardiac rhythm management. I also see patients across Norfolk for investigation, management and treatment of conditions including chest pain, breathlessness, valve disease, palpitations, syncope and blackouts, arrhythmia management and treatment of hypertension.
I obtained specialist training in Cardiology on the West Midlands rotation with subspecialty training in general cardiology, pacing, devices, advanced cardiac imaging (including both transthoracic and transoesophageal echocardiography, cardiac CT and cardiac MRI) and heart failure. In addition, I undertook a two year advanced training fellowship in complex pacing and devices at Wythenshawe Hospital (University Hospital of South Manchester) before becoming a Consultant Cardiologist in 2011.
I was jointly appointed to my present substantive NHS posts as Consultant Cardiologist at Queen Elizabeth Kings Lynn NHS Foundation Trust and Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Cambridge.
