I am an Interventional Radiologist with over 20 years experience both in the NHS and private sector. This includes being one of the first Interventional Radiologists to offer uterine fibroid embolisation in the UK. I have performed over 5,000 fibroid embolisation treatments.

While undertaking the full range of diagnostic radiology scans, including ultrasound, MRI scans and CT scans, I also specialise in Interventional Radiology which offers minimally invasive treatments of a wide range of conditions under imaging guidance. My areas of special expertise are in embolisation of uterine fibroids, adenomyosis, pelvic congestion syndrome, varicoceles, treating benign prostate enlargement and supporting cancer treatment services by providing venous access.

I have one of the busiest practices in Europe for uterine fibroid embolisation treatment and am the leading individual contributor to the UK Fibroid Embolisation Registry having completed over 5,000 procedures. I am also recognised as a leader in the field of pelvic congestion due to pelvic varicose veins, receiving referrals from around the UK and further afield. I am regularly invited to speak at conferences and meetings both in the UK and abroad.

My approach is patient-centred and I take the time to understand each individual's concern and priorities when helping guide them to the best treatment choice. By talking people through their scans and explaining the findings I help them understand why certain recommendations have been made. Even in cases where minimally invasive interventional radiology treatment may not be an option, I respect the desire to explore all avenues before making a fully informed decision.
