Virtual consultations:
I am a Consultant in Sport and Exercise Medicine based in the Midlands. I currently hold positions at the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre, Stanford Hall and the UK Sports Institute. I am also the Team Doctor for Gloucester Rugby.
I am passionate about musculoskeletal medicine and enjoy working collaboratively with patients to help them do more of the things they love, whether that be high-level sport or recreational pursuits. I have experience across a variety of sports, having previously worked with the British Gymnastics World Class Programme, Wolverhampton Wanderers, The Football Association, Worcester Warriors and the Rugby Football Union.
I have been fortunate to be part of Team GB at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and the 2023 European Games, as well as Team England at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games and the Trinbago 2023 Commonwealth Youth Games. Outside of sport, I have also worked as a medical consultant to the Royal Ballet Company based at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden.
I trained at the University of Birmingham and Queen Mary University of London before beginning my medical career in Birmingham and then moving to Bath to train as a GP. I subsequently returned to the Midlands to undertake Higher Specialist Training in Sport and Exercise Medicine.
During this period, I completed a PhD at the University of Birmingham in the field of sport-related concussion, an area in which I continue to maintain an active research interest.
