I am a Consultant Gynaecologist in Norwich, Norfolk with 17 years of specialist experience, including 9 years at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. I am proud to have made significant contributions to the field of adolescent gynaecology, which remains my key area of expertise.
I have a private practice at Spire Norwich Hospital where I provide specialist care in both the medical and surgical management of adolescent gynaecological conditions including endometriosis, hormone problems, menstrual problems, pelvic pain, sexual and reproductive health and vulval disorders.
I also provide an adult gynaecology service in my private practice seeing patients for chronic pelvic pain, complex contraception, congenital abnormalities, endometriosis, fibroids, heavy/irregular menstrual bleeding, hormonal problems, vaginal discharge and vulval disorders.
My practice includes a full range of minimally invasive procedures, such as laparoscopic surgery, hysteroscopies and treatment for conditions including minor endometriosis, ovarian cysts and contraceptive device insertion and removal.
Other clinical interests include treatment for reproductive health, sexual health, insertion/removal of contraceptive devices, Nexplanon insertion and removal and surgery for minor endometriosis.
To date, I have performed more than 1,000 laparoscopies, hysteroscopies, and intrauterine device (IUD) insertions and removals, reflecting extensive hands‑on experience in minimally invasive gynaecological surgery.
I am committed to providing patient‑centred, compassionate care for women and adolescents across the East of England, ensuring safe, effective treatment supported by modern techniques and evidence‑based practice.
I am also committed to the study, research, support and care of children and adolescents with disorders of the genital tract.
I am the first doctor in the UK to achieve the fellowship in Adolescent Gynaecology – IFEPAG. The International Fellowship of Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology (PAG) is an independent professional specialisation provided by The International Federation of PAG - FIGIJ.
I am the first doctor in the UK to pass this two-part examination and successfully join the establishment of IFEPAG, adding UK to the international PAG landscape in 2021. Since then, I have attracted several international candidates and senior clinicians for observership of our PAG unit in the UK.
I am an Executive Committee member for the BritSPAG - which is the national organisation for Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology in the UK.
I am the UK representative on the Europe PAG Executive Committee, representing the country within EURAPAG, the pan-European PAG organisation.
I am also a NICE committee member: As a member of the NICE Guideline development Group and co chair of the Obesity group, I contributed to the NICE guideline on Intrapartum care in women with existing medical conditions – published 2019.
