I am a Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist based in Worcester, with over 18 months’ experience as a substantive consultant at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. I specialise in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias (heart rhythm disorders).
I undertook advanced training in catheter ablation and cardiac device implantation at Royal Papworth Hospital and Royal Bournemouth Hospital, where I completed a post‑CCT fellowship in Electrophysiology. This provided comprehensive experience in the management of complex heart rhythm conditions using advanced interventional techniques.
Although relatively early in my consultant career, I have performed over 1,000 catheter ablation and cardiac device procedures since the start of my training. I currently perform approximately 125 ablation procedures and 50 device procedures per year, including pacemaker and defibrillator implantation.
Alongside my subspecialist electrophysiology practice, I work in a busy district general hospital in Worcester, where I also manage a wide range of general cardiology conditions. This includes regular outpatient cardiology clinics in Worcester and inpatient cardiology cover.
My clinical interests include: atrial fibrillation (AF) ablation, supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) ablation, premature ventricular contraction (PVC) ablation, cardiac resynchronisation therapy pacemaker (CRT‑P) implantation, implantable cardioverter‑defibrillator (ICD) implantation, implantable loop recorder (ILR) insertion and removal, pacemaker implantation and follow‑up, and comprehensive arrhythmia assessment and management.
I am passionate about delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred care. I believe every patient is unique, and treatment plans should be individually tailored and developed in partnership with patients, ensuring clear communication and shared decision‑making throughout the care pathway.
If you are seeking an experienced cardiologist and electrophysiologist in Worcester, offering expert care for heart rhythm disorders, catheter ablation, and cardiac device implantation, I provide evidence‑based treatment tailored to your individual needs.
