Dr Nicola Philpott

Consultant Haematologist

BM BCh, DM, FRCP, FRCPath

I treat a full range of blood disorders and am particularly interested in malignancies of the blood and lymph glands and in anticoagulation therapies.

After graduating from Oxford with a First Class Honours degree, I completed clinical training in Oxford and junior doctor posts in London. A period of two years research funded by the Leukaemia Research Fund led to a doctorate and after completing postgraduate training in haematology, I was appointed Consultant Haematologist in 1999.

After 9 years as a Consultant in West London, I moved to Wexham Park Hospital in 2008, where I am Lead Consultant for Leukaemia, for Obstetric Haematology and for Venous Thromboembolism (blood clots).

I am Chair of the Thrombosis Committee at Wexham Park Hospital and lead the subspecialty areas of leukaemia, VTE/anticoagulation and obstetric haematology.
