I am a Consultant Cardiologist/Electrophysiologist, providing expertise in the management of serious heart rhythm. My interest involves the investigation of patients with unexplained blackouts or falls as well as those with symptomatic palpitations. I am also dedicated to the screening of patients with a family history of sudden cardiac death (SCD) as well as treating those deemed at high risk from SCD with the implantation of cardiac defibrillators/pacemakers.

I provide the service of electrophysiological ablation of cardiac arrhythmias (including atrial fibrillation ablations) to a regional population of 1.2 million. My other interest is treating heart failure with pioneering biventricular pacemakers. I implant the systems and follow up these patients performing optimisation of the devices utilising cardiac ultrasound (Echocardiography).

I was also very honoured to be one of the few Cardiologists to be awarded the certificate of accreditation from the British Society of Echocardiography. This was awarded in recognition of my practical and theoretical understanding of cardiac echocardiography.
