I specialise in skin cancer recognition and its management. This includes routine mole checks, skin biopsy, and skin cancer excision, as well as removal of benign skin lesions eg moles, warts, cysts at patient request. I have extensive experience in skin cancer surgery, including skin flaps and skin graft reconstruction.
In addition, I have an interest in melanoma, and run a specialist weekly melanoma clinic at UHS, working closely with the Plastics Surgeons and Oncologists in the NHS sector.
I perform over 500 skin surgery procedures per year and am the Lead for Surgical Dermatology at UHS.
I have been a Consultant Dermatologist for over 10 years. I was a Consultant Dermatologist at Salisbury Hospital for 10 years, before joining University Hospitals Southampton in 2017.
I completed my Dermatology training in Wessex, followed by both a National and International Fellowship in Advanced Dermatologic surgery and Mohs Surgery in both Newcastle UK and Vancouver BC, Canada before taking up my first Consultant post. My NHS role covers general dermatology, with a specialist interest in skin cancer diagnosis/management.
