Dr Mosheir Elabassy

Consultant Radiologist

MBBCh MSC FRCR

My practice is centred around the early diagnosis of the causes of abdominal pain, liver disease, gastrointestinal disease as well as gynaecological disease, bleeding or masses.

I believe that the early and accurate diagnosis of any disease or tumour is key to helping achieve the best outcome for patients.

I have a particular interest in modernising imaging techniques such as CT of the colon, most recently utilising faecal tagging to improve the quality of the radiology service that I offer. I work very closely with a great team of surgeons, oncologists, gynaecologists and gastroenterologists and I am directly involved in the management and after care of patients.

I commenced my radiology training in 1987 and worked at St Mary's, Paddington and at the Western Infirmary, Glasgow and have been based in Leicester as a consultant radiologist since 2000.

I am the Consultant Radiologist for the One Stop Abdominal Pain Clinic at Spire Leicester Hospital.
