I have a strong interest in research and have published 15 articles in National and International journals. I was commissioned by the Department of Health to develop an e-learning training package for “Management of Obesity in children”. (published 2011). I was also Lead clinical facilitator for designing a pathway for “Obesity in Children”. It has been published on Map of Medicine, NHS Institute of Innovation and Improvement, 2010.

I was invited as a speaker to the First World Paediatric Congress in Dalian, China, in October 2013 to talk on “Management of Vesicular Genital rashes in children and adolescents” and have given over 20 talks in Regional and National conferences. My current interests include reviewing childhood deaths and identifying modifiable and preventable factors.

I can speak fluent Hindi and Bengali as well and this often helps to reduce anxieties for parents from different cultural backgrounds. I support my consultations with parent information leaflets so families go away confident in understanding and managing their child’s condition.
