I am an experienced general physician with particular experience in managing older people with complex problems.
My areas of particular clinical expertise include stroke and TIA, hypertension and non-invasive cardiovascular medicine. Specifically I have been responsible for many local initiatives including rapid access stroke and TIA clinics and a rapid access hypertension service.
Specific expertise in assessment, diagnosis and management of a wide range of complicated and often multiple problems in older adults. This commonly includes falls and poor balance, a wide range of mobility disorders and the diagnosis and management of dementia forgetfulness and confusion.
I frequently provide second opinions on cases in dispute, and regularly provide external independent expert reports for the Coroner and Courts. I delight in being a generalist and interacting with all manner of specialist colleagues, from medical, legal and allied professions.
I have developed managerial skills and experience and am formally trained as a mediator and am a certified practitioner in NLP and Project management (Prince II).
